Can’t believe it’s the last day before the summer. Time has flown by so quickly.  See below for today’s activities including reading, phonics, english, arithmetic, maths and topic work.

Read your book on www.activelearnprimary.co.uk

Phonics-  Use www.phonicsplay.co.uk or www.activelearnprimary.co.uk for daily phonic practise.

English- Spelling test

Arithmetic-Week 12 Friday.

Maths- Following directions, left, right, clockwise and anti-clockwise.

Topic- Paint a portrait of either Elizabeth I or Victoria, which includes symbolic items that reflect their values at that time.

Just one more day until the summer holidays. I hope you’re having a good week. See below for today’s activities including reading, phonics, english, arithmetic, maths and topic work.

Phonics-  Use www.phonicsplay.co.uk or www.activelearnprimary.co.uk for daily phonic practise.

Practise your spellings.

English- GPS. Today's focus is learning to add the suffix es and s to make words plural.

Arithmetic-Week 12 Thursday.

Maths- Right and left worksheet.

Topic- Sort sample fashions and make-up trends into Elizabethan and Victorian.

Role-play an editorial meeting from a magazine, identifying fashion and make-up trends during the Elizabethan and Victorian eras. Design and make an outfit in the style of either Elizabethan or Victorian fashion.

English- Writing a story on the picture 'Girl and the Dragon'. Answer the questions on the sheet before writing your story to get you thinking and using your imaginations.

Arithmetic-Week 12 Wednesday

Maths- Pirate-Following directions

Topic- Using the queen template/silhouette make a collage using magazines, newspaper etc and possibly using pictures of the queen herself.

English- Comprehension-The ant and the grasshopper

Arithmetic-Week 12 Tuesday

Maths- Preposition game.

Topic- To role-play aspects of Elizabethan life and explore aspects of Elizabeth I’s legacy through mystery items. Use the powerpoint from yesterday ‘The role of a monach’ to identify the objects important to the queen and discuss why they are important.

English- Practise your new spellings. Discuss any spellings you don’t know the meaning of with an adult and put your new spellings into sentences.

Arithmetic-Week 12 Monday

Maths- Building bricks and shape patterns.

Topic- This week we are going to be learning about Monachs. Today we will be learning about the role of a Monach.

Activity: To identify and sort photos of some English/British monarchs onto a timeline.
