Monday 4th May 2020
Good Morning all,
Please keep sending us e-mails to let us know how you are getting on, we have thoroughly enjoyed the pictures we have received of you all enjoying your learning!
Remember that Ms O'keefe and I are always here if you need any support.
Please see below Monday's home learning - any attachments that you may need are at the bottom of the page.
Read the poem:
https://www.poemhunt er.com/poem/chocolate -cake/
Now watch Michael Rosen perform the poem: https://www.youtube.c om/watch?v=7BxQLITd OOc
Which do you prefer? Why?
Michael uses onomatopoeia in his poem. Onomatopoeia is when a word imitates the sound of the object or action it refers to, e.g. guzzle. Can you find some examples of onomatopoeia in the poem? Can you think of an action you might put with that word?
Learn to recite the poem putting your own actions and noises to it.
Learn a section at a time and slowly build it up until you can recite it all!
Perform the poem to people in your house.
I have attached the next 10 comprehension tasks to the bottom of the Page. For today the children will just need to complete The fairytale hairdresser and snow white.
Maths: Attached at the bottom of the page is an Arithmetic paper Spring 4 and a Maths paper, page 76 and 77 LO: To use decimals in the context of money and measures. with sections A, B and C.
Spellings: I have added the last spelling patterns to the bottom of the page.
Remember to check out Miss Dark's page for PE and Miss O'Keefe's page for Art tasks. Children should also continue to access TTRockstars each day and read for 15 minutes.
Please look after yourselves and we look forward to hearing from you soon,
