New to Reception 2026
Meet the team:

Our Environment
We are very lucky to have a large classroom, 'shared area' and outdoor area at use every day. Inside we have an area for maths, phonics, writing, art, reading, playdough, water, sand, role play and construction.
We have recently had the outdoor area completely refurbished with a climbing frame, water wall, stage, sand and construction area.
Step into Quality Mark
We are incredibly proud to announce that the Primet team has been awarded the Step into Quality Mark for EYFS. This achievement is a reflection of our team’s tireless hard work and unwavering dedication to providing the very best start for our youngest learners. It’s more than just an award; it’s a promise to our families that excellence in Early Years education is at the heart of everything we do. The quality improvement programme has been extremely successful in raising standards in the early years in Lancashire schools.

School Readiness
To give your child the best start it is essential you prepare them for starting school. This doesn't mean teach them their letters, instead focus on independence skills which will help them learn in school.
School readiness is about your child building the confidence, skills and habits that will help them to feel like they belong, make friends and get the most out of their learning opportunities.
Watch this video about how you can help your child gain independence.

By the time children start school they should be able to do these things by themselves:
-put on their coat and shoes
-go to the toilet
-wash and dry their hands
-use a knife and fork
-listen to a story read by an adult (not a video)
-complete a jigsaw and put it away
More information about School Readiness can be found here.
