Our Learning

Skills Progression

Our Religious Education progression document outlines how pupils’ knowledge and understanding develop from Year 1 to Year 6. It ensures a clear sequence of learning across four key areas: Beliefs and Values, Living Religious Traditions, Shared Human Experiences, and the Search for Personal Meaning. Skills progress from recognising and retelling religious stories in the early years to analysing beliefs, interpreting symbolism, and debating questions of identity and purpose in upper Key Stage 2. This structured approach supports pupils in building respect, curiosity, and critical thinking as they explore diverse faiths and world views.
