Our Learning

Policies

The Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) policy sets out the importance of learning a foreign language as a means of broadening pupils’ understanding of different cultures, countries and customs. High-quality teaching and learning fosters curiosity and promotes a deeper knowledge and understanding of the wider world.

Language learning provides a strong foundation for future linguistic development, supporting the acquisition of additional languages as pupils progress. By developing their language skills, pupils are better equipped to become multilingual, opening up wider opportunities for further study and future employment.
