Skills Progression
The progression of skills document outlines the range of skills taught from reception to year 6. This has been based on decoding and fluency, and the reading domains:
- 1a, 2a: vocabulary
- 1b, 2b: retrieve and record information
- 1c, 2c; sequence and summarise
- 1d, 2d: make inferences
- 1e, 2e: make predictions
- 2f: how information relates to the meaning
- 2g: interesting words and phrases
- 2h: make comparisons
