Our summer topic is based on the book Wonder and Colne. This topic extends over the summer term and covers a range of learning opportunities.

English: Children will have the opportunity to create different writing outcomes based on this wonderful book.  These will include: a poem, a diary entry, formal and informal emails and messages and a narrative based on a similar concept.

Maths: This half-term, children will be focusing on short maths projects, where they can apply a range of skills.

Art: The around the theme of uniqueness  will be explored with aspects of Picasso based abstractness.

Geography: Children will learn about their local area focusing on how Colne has changed over time and how it is likely to change over time. This will include fieldwork and visits and research.
