Our Spring 1 unit for English is about classic literature. We will be reading sections of The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. In Geography, we will be looking into Fair Trade and how that impacts different communities within Kenya.

Science: 

In Science, children will learn about the circulatory system. They will learn about how the blood functions and what it is made up of. We will learn about the effect exercise can have on our body and how drugs and medicines impact our bodies.

English:

In English, the children will be creating character interactions with escalating tension and learning how to advance characterisation and plot through dialogue. We will also be creating a motivating, persuasive speech trying to convince a character to do something dangerous and selfless but necessary.
