Meet Ros Eccles, Family Support Worker

Hello, my name is Ros Eccles, and I am the Family Support Worker at Primet Primary School.

I am available in school Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and I am here to support children and their families with any concerns or challenges they may be facing.

No issue is too big or too small. Whether you would like advice about your child's development or behaviour, support with emotional wellbeing, help to access services such as the School Nurse, or support for yourself or your family, please get in touch. I am always happy to listen, offer guidance, and help you find the right support.

How I Can Help

I provide support in a variety of ways, including:

• Listening to parents' concerns and offering practical advice, guidance, and emotional support.
• Signposting families to local services and organisations within the Pendle area.
• Working one-to-one with children to help them understand and manage their emotions, build resilience, and develop positive coping strategies.
• Supporting children through key transitions, such as moving between year groups or changing schools.
• Helping children to build self-esteem, confidence, and positive relationships.
• Supporting children and families with friendship difficulties, bullying concerns, and issues relating to social media.
• Providing support during significant family changes, including bereavement, the arrival of a new baby, parental separation, or divorce.
• Offering additional support through home visits where appropriate.
