Free School Meals
Provision of free school meals during school closure
Following new information provided by the Government and under the guidance provided by Lancashire County Council, all children in receipt of Free School Meals will, from Monday 6th April 2020, be entitled to a voucher to be used at a supermarket. Due to the late notification from the government that FSM children will also be entitled to receive the voucher during school holidays, it cannot be guaranteed by school that the vouchers for week commencing Monday 6th April 2020 will be received on that day. They have been ordered but it may take some time for the vouchers to be received.
The voucher scheme is run online. Those parents and carers who confirmed their email addresses to receive the vouchers will automatically receive an eCode giving them access to a voucher each week. The vouchers are valued at £15 per child. Where more than one child lives in a household, the vouchers have been amalgamated so only one voucher will be received per household.
Some parents and carers preferred not to receive the vouchers electronically. Those vouchers will be printed by school and posted to the families.
Please follow the instructions included in the email with your eCode. Additional information is available in the Frequently Asked Questions document that can be accessed on this page of the school website. If you are still unable to access or exchange your eCode for a voucher, please email email@example.com with details of the problems you are experiencing and we will do our best to assist.
Please do not email your child's class teacher with queries about FSM. They will not be able to assist you.
